Professional Design of ICF Swimming Pools
Consultation
We start with a Zoom call to introduce ourselves and discuss your ICF swimming pool needs and backyard vision. Then, we visit your home to measure your backyard for a precise, tailored design. We showcase pool designs, floor profiles, finishes, and upgrade options.
3D Design
We provide every client with a detailed 3D computer-generated design, allowing you to see how your pool will blend with your home and backyard. You can suggest modifications or enhancements at this stage. Once approved, we use the design to create precise engineering plans, including the exact count and layout of ICF blocks, ensuring accurate and efficient construction.
Premium Equipment
We will schedule a meeting at our Design Warehouse where you can explore samples for tile, plaster, decking, stone, and coping. We’ll also present cost-effective upgrades to enhance your pool’s appearance and experience.

Our ICF Pool Construction Process
Layout
We start our process by clearly defining the pool and excavation boundaries. We mark depth changes and establish extended reference lines. This detailed approach allows us to precisely visualize the pool’s dimensions, ensuring we can make any needed adjustments before excavation begins.
Excavation
Next we proceed with excavation, utilizing the most skilled and respected excavator in Utah, ensuring the work is performed with the highest quality and precision.
Floor Insulation
To prevent heat loss through your ICF pool floor, we install a continuous layer of insulation beneath the slab, enhancing the pool’s thermal efficiency—the primary benefit of ICF pools.
Build the Walls & Penetrations
We use a chalk line to mark the wall layout and begin laying the courses of ICF forms (6-inch to 12-inch cores). We place the specified rebar count into the forms, securing the blocks with integral web ties, and install bracing between the courses at approved intervals. Our team ensures that the walls are perfectly squared and leveled before applying foam insulation. Once the wall is erected, we make cutouts for plumbing and electrical conduits, as well as stairs, jets and skimmers.
Skimmers & Wall Fittings
Our innovation shines through in our proprietary process for fitting skimmers into ICF walls, which we’ve refined for optimal performance. For added precision, we use the same specialized wall fittings for water return jets and lights (“Microbrites”), ensuring seamless integration and reliability in every aspect of your pool’s design.
Fab-Form Bracing
Ensuring that your walls are plumb and straight is crucial for a proper fit of any vinyl liner/ PVC membrane and your pool’s autocover system. To achieve this, we use Fab-Form bracing. These lightweight, modular components are versatile, scaling to any wall height and performing exceptionally well for pool applications.
Electrical & Plumbing
We handle the installation of electrical and plumbing systems prior to starting the concrete pour. We’ve developed a successful and efficient pad layout of your equipment. We perform comprehensive pressure tests on the plumbing system to ensure it operates efficiently, and we confirm that all electrical components meet the necessary city and state regulations.
Place Concrete (Monopour)
If using our advanced kit, we plan this step in advance to save time and money by pouring the slab and concrete wall cores concurrently using our advanced monopour technique. The benefits of a monopour include a stronger, more uniform wall with fewer joints and seams, no cold joint, enhancing structural integrity and reducing the risk of water infiltration. We pioneered this method and have successfully managed or completed hundreds of pools using this innovative approach, ensuring top-quality results with every project.
Stairs & Ledges
We excel in incorporating internal stairs, ledges and sundecks into your pool design. Our skilled team ensures these features are seamlessly integrated, providing both functionality and elegance. Whether you’re aiming for easy access or a luxurious relaxation area, we bring your vision to life with precision and professionalism.
Wall Finishes
With our extensive experience in constructing ICF pool walls, we know exactly what works best. We specialize in premium finishes, including the luxurious “Ferrari” Ecofinish, a range of vinyl liners, and Renolit’s reinforced PVC membrane, as well as custom tile installations. Our professional ability ensures that your pool’s finish is not only visually stunning but also built to last.
